We specialise in car accident repairs, insurance repairs and resprays to all makes of vehicles, as well as welding, smart repairs, dent removal, windscreens, alloy wheel refurbishment, scratches and machine polishing.

Some insurance companies imply that you do not have a choice where your vehicle is to be repaired – but you do. You can use whichever garage you choose and the insurer must meet all reasonable costs of the repairs. We make the whole process of insurance claims easier by liaising with your insurance company, once you have reported any accident to them.

For your convenience, we also offer courtesy cars that are available for use while work is carried out on your vehicle. Contact us today for body repair services all across Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Chesham, Amersham, Kings Langley, Tring, Chorleywood and Rickmansworth.

The procedure

  • Stage 1: Your vehicle comes in for an estimate. We also approximate estimates over the phone or by examining pictures of the damage through email. However for 100% accurate estimates, it is recommended that you bring in the vehicle.

  • Stage 2: In case the accident is an insurance claim, we prepare an estimate to email or fax it to your insurance company to speed up the process. You can choose where you want your car to be repaired and you insurer will be require to meet all the reasonable costs towards the cost of the repair. The insurance company will then arrange to inspect the vehicle in person or agree figures on the telephone.

  • Step 3: Now, the vehicle is booked in and the parts are ordered. If you require a courtesy car, it will be given to you at this point. The welding, straightening, panel beating and engineering work is then carried out. Just as in the manufacturing production line, all the engineering work is carried out before the finishing work is completed.

  • Step 4: The car is now transferred to the paint shop where the surfaces are prepared by flatting down, masking up, primed and prepared for the paint and lacquer to be applied. The colour code is noted, checked, after which the water based paint is mixed on a mixing scheme/system.

  • Step 5: The vehicle goes into the low bake oven spray booth and is re-masked for colour. Now the paint and lacquer are applied to the vehicle. Once painting is completed, the vehicle is baked for 40 minutes and allowed to cool down and then de-masked.

  • Step 6: The vehicle is quality checked and is later machine or hand polished. It is then taken to the fitting shop where the removed parts are refitted or replaced entirely.

  • Step 7: The final step is to get the vehicle washed and valeted and prepared for collection and payment. If the repair is an insurance claim, the excess is paid and the collection note is signed.
Bentley

Bentley Eight bodywork and respray

This enormous luxury vehicle required extensive rust repairs and finishing work for the lower half of the car.

The o/s and n/s wheel arch as well as the lower rear wing panels were replaced. The surface rust that remained was treated on the lower half of the vehicle, and then the lower half of the vehicle was repainted. The entire underside was de-rusted and was treated with wax oil. Finally, the vehicle was then machine polished.

1948 Triumph Roadster

Here, the classic vehicle went through structural and paintwork repairs. This included the removal of the outer aluminium sill panel and the A & B post skins. We replaced the rotten ash frame and post structures which we formed and fitted in as original. The outer aluminium panels were then refurbished, TIG welded back in to position and the made good with metal grade filler. The rest of the vehicle was then prepared and refinished to add to the quality of the paint finish. The final step was to provide rust treatment, stone chip protection and wax oil treatment to all four wings.

MGB GT

MGB GT

This classic MG needed extensive panel work, rust repairs for the o/s and n/s doors, o/s  and n/s rear wheel arches, spare wheel well, front and rear screen apertures and the n/s front inner wing and front panel. All of the areas affected by rust were then replaced with new steel and reshaped, after which a complete repaint was carried out.

1980 Mini body shell

This project required major body shell restoration, where the shell was sand blasted. There was extensive panel work replacement and repairs carried out from the front to the rear end. We then carried out a complete refinish in British Racing Green with a silver roof.
