Privacy Notice 2018

At the time of booking any work with Bowron Motorcare, Bowron Motorcare will take your name, a contact telephone number, email address and also your address, and with your consent will keep them with our customer records. 

These records are securely kept on our computer database on a password protected PC and in a locked metal filing cabinet kept at Bowron Motorcare’s registered business address. This information is not used for any purpose other than contact for estimates, invoices and MOT reminders. 

 

Bowron Motorcare is required to keep this information for legal and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 7 years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a customer of Bowron Motorcare. You do have the right to see any information we keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed. If however you do request that records be destroyed Bowron Motorcare will again have to ask you for your details for our own insurance and legal information if we do future work for you. 

Bowron Motorcare will not use the information for anything other than to contact you regarding any existing work, MOT reminder or to discuss any potential work with you. 

Bowron Motorcare may need to share your personal information with a third party if we need to order materials from a contractor to complete your project.

Bowron Motorcare will not use your personal information for marketing purposes.

Any information given to Bowron Motorcare via the message service on Bowron Motorcare’s Facebook Page, Bowron Motorcare is only accessible by Bob or Jane Bowron. You may request that once Bowrron Motorcare have written your details on your record card that Bowron Motorcare will delete any message which contains your personal information

Any information you have given Bowron Motorcare via text message to Bowron Motorcare’s mobile phone is accessible only by Bowron Motorcare, the phone is locked with a security code. You may request that these text messages are deleted once Bowron Motorcare has written the information on your record card.
